Dénes' father was József Asbóth and his mother was Anna Eredics.  His paternal grandparents were József Asbóth and Magdolna Marton. He had two brothers named János and Sándor.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 56 on May 2nd, 1893 in Nagyölbő Vas vm.²
