Rev. Samuel was born on October 5th, 1856.  Rev. Samuel's father was Adam Conrad KRELL and his mother was Christina Anna Schnellbacher.  His paternal grandparents were Johann Heinrich KROELL and Catherine Elizabetha Dietz; his maternal grandparents were Johann Peter Schnellbacher and Christina Hofferberth. He had three brothers named Lewis, William and Clifton.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 45 on April 13th, 1902.
