Sri Murtini was born on February 15th, 1922.  Sri Murtini's father was R Mustotpo Pringgohardjo and his mother was Sujati.  His maternal grandparents were RM Tjitrodimedjo and Ny. Tjitrodimedjo. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Muhammad, KRT Muhammad , Drs Muhammad, Surjadi, Gatutsampurno, Purnomo, Sunoto and Sri .  He was the third oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 52 on October 6th, 1974.
