Rini was born in 1956.  Rini's father is Sugeng Harsono and his mother is Hj Indrati.  His maternal grandfather is R Judomarjono and his maternal grandmother was Siti Muntowati. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Bambang, Hari , Sri and Sri .  He is the fourth oldest of the five children.
