Huni Lestari was born on January 9th, 1955.  Huni Lestari's father is Sudharmo and her mother is Wanito.  Her paternal grandparents were Sukarno Sastrohamidjojo and Sri Andikin. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Hari, Drs Hari, Dwi and Huni Darwani.  She is the fourth oldest of the five children.
