Hedi was born on January 14th, 1957.  Hedi's father is Drs Muhammad Subroto Kusumobroto MEd and her mother is RA Endang Sutapi Kusumodadari.  Her paternal grandparents were R Mustotpo Pringgohardjo and Sujati. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Bob Susilo SKM, Ir Hendartyo, Ir Tjahjo, Slamet Rahardjo, Riko Rahmadi, Ir Laksmi Palupi and Tri Astuti.  She is the fourth oldest of the eight children.
