Anne was born in 1825.  Anne's father was John Squires and her mother was Ann Bradley.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger Squires and Ciciley Willan. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, Isaac, John, William, Elizabeth, Mary, Anne, Agnes, Alice, Isabella and Margaret.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children.
