Jan was born on December 4th, 1796.  Jan's father was Jan Siman and his mother was Catherine Kovacs.  His paternal grandfather was Mathew Siman and his paternal grandmother is Dorothea Galik; his maternal grandparents are Mathew Kovacs and Maria Kovacs.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 49 on October 1st, 1846.
