James was born on January 8th, 1914.  James' father was James Thomas Emery and his mother was Ida Myrtle Worman (Emery).  His paternal grandparents were George Mac and Laura Ann Barry (Emery). He had two brothers and three sisters, named Everett, Wilber, Velma, Wilma and Rosalie.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 83 on November 20th, 1997.
