Charles Jeffery

Charles was born in 1842 in Dittisham, Devon. Charles' father was William Jeffery and his mother was Elizabeth Mitchell Edwards. His paternal grandparents were George Jeffery and Sarah Finch; his maternal grandparents were Charles Edwards and Elizabeth Mitchell. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Charles Henry, George, James Finch, William, Keturah, Sarah Ellen, Sarah A, Maria Jane, Betsy Edwards, Betsy Maria, Elizabeth Edwards and Rosa. He was the oldest of the thirteen children.
