George, known as George, was born on May 14th, 1919 in East Providence, RI. George's father was Manuel Francisco RODRIGUES and his mother was Mariana Silva DIAS. His paternal grandparents were Antonio Francisco RODRIGUES and Francisca Emilia RODRIGUES; his maternal grandparents were Jose Pereira DIAS and Ignacia Feleciana DUARTE. He had six brothers and a sister, named Frank, Manuel, Antone, Joseph, Charles, Edward and Maria. He diedMar 22nd, 2008 in Jeffersonville, IN.

  JEFFERSONVILLE ROGERS, GEORGE, 86, died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 22, 2008. He was born in East Providence, RI. George retired as manager for Ashland Oil Co., in Louisville, KY. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired Lt. Colonel in the Army reserve. He is survived by Dorothy Weber Rogers, his loving wife of 60 years; his brother, Edward Rogers, of East Providence RI; and three devoted sons, Michael Rogers, of Los Alamos, NM, Kevin Rogers, of Jeffersonville, IN and Mark Rogers, of Boca Raton, FL; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, in Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at E.M. Coots Funeral, in Jeffersonville, IN. Donations, in his memory, may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School, 1840 E. 8th Street, Jeffersonville, IN, 47130.
