  • Mrs. Manuel Rogers
    
    Mrs. Mariana (Dias) Rogers, 83, of 49 Belmont Ave., East Providence, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital.  She was the widow of Manuel Rogers.
    
    Born in Fayal, the Azores, Aug 15, 1885, she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Enacia P. Dias.  She was a resident of East Providence for 56 years and came to this country 67 years ago.
    
    She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary DeCosta of East Providence; six sons, Joseph Rogers of Yonkers,N.Y., George Rogers of Clarkville, Ind., Manuel, Antone, Charles and Edward Rogers all of East Providence; one sister, Miss Rose Dias of the Azores; 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
    
    The funeral will be held from the Perry Funeral Home, 254 Warren Ave., East Providence, Wednesday at 8 a.m. with a solemn requiem Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, East Providence, at 9. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket.
