Jacob, known as Jacob, was born in 1837 in Wilkinson Co, Georgia.  Jacob's father was George BRACK and his mother was Didemma CANNON.  His maternal grandparents were Nathaniel CANNON and Frances SUMNER. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Miles, Eli, George, Franklin, Elizabeth and Dorinda.  He was the oldest of the seven children.
