He had two brothers and five sisters, named Marcellus W, Edward, Virginia Angeline, Eunice John, Susan E.V, Sarah Jane "Sally" and Ella. He had seven half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Charles D, Walter Malachi, Jesse Bruce, Henry Myers, Levi Cummins, John Christopher, James E, Mary Elizabeth "Betty", Anna Keyes, Martha A "Matt" and Isabella Catherine.-
