Donnie Ray's father is Raymond Allen and his mother is Minnie Theo Humphreys. His paternal grandparents were James Prince Allen and Maggie L "Coot" Watkins; his maternal grandparents are Arthur James Humphreys and Myrtle Lee Webb. He had two brothers and a sister, named Roger Dale, Billy Wicks and Elizabeth Ann. He has a half-brother named Donnie.-
