Henry Petyt

Henry was born in 1839 in Hill Top Farm, Hazlewood, Yorkshire, England.¹ Henry's father was Thomas Petyt and his mother was Margaret Malham. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Pettyt and Ann Holmes. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, Joseph, George, Sylvester Benjamin, Mary, Margaret and Jane Esther. He was the third oldest of the nine children.
