George Petyt

George was born in 1732 in Hazlewood, Yorkshire, England. George's father was Henry Pettyt and his mother was Ellen Holmes. His paternal grandfather was George Petty; his maternal grandparents were Christopher Holmes and (Unknown) (Holmes). He had two brothers and two sisters, named James, Henry, Isobella and Mary. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 40 in July 1772 in Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire, England.
