William Pettyt

William was born in 1661 in Cawder, Snaygill, Yorkshire, England. William's father was John Petyt and his mother was Martha Airton. His paternal grandparents were Anthony Pettyt and Mary Jowett. He had five brothers and a sister, named John, Anthony, John, Christopher, Thomas and Mary. He was the sixth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 79 in March 1740 in Skipton, Yorkshire, England.
