Richard Petty

Richard was born in 1877 in Barnoldswick, Yorkshire, England.¹ Richard's father was Thomas Petty and his mother was Dorothy M Ellison. His paternal grandparents were Edward Petty and Jane (Petty). He had three brothers and a sister, named Ellison, Walter S, Tom and Mary A. He was the second oldest of the five children.
