Isabella Petty

Isabella was born in 1839 in Thornthwaite, Hampsthwaite, Yorkshire, England.¹ Isabella's father was Thomas Pettyt and her mother was Sarah (Petty). Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Pettyt and Sarah Metcalfe. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Joseph, George, Sarah and Ann. She was the youngest of the six children.
