Edith Pierpoint was born in September 1876 in Stockport Cheshire, England.1   Edith Pierpoint's father was Rev . John Procter Petty and her mother was Elizabeth Pierpoint.  Her paternal grandparents were Francis Petty and Mary Carr.  She had a brother and four sisters, named Valter, Elizabeth Alice, Alice, Clara and Rose Ethel.  She was the oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 27 in September 1903 in Burnley, Lancashire, England.
