Ferdinand The 2. was born about 1137.  Ferdinand The 2.'s father was King Alfonso The 7. of The Castilian House of Burgundy and his mother was Queen Consort Berengaria of House Barcelona.  His paternal grandparents were Count Raymond of The Castilian House of Burgundy and Empress Urraca of House Jiménez; his maternal grandparents were Count Ramon Berenguer The 3. (The Great) of House Barcelona and Douce The 1. (Gévaudan). He had a brother and a sister, named Sancho The 3. and Sancha.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died on January 22nd, 1188.
