Louis The 4. was born on May 27th, 1537.  Louis The 4.'s father was Landgrave Philip The 1. of House Hesse and his mother was Landgravine Christine of House Wettin. He had three brothers and a sister, named William The 4., Philip The 2., George The 1. and Christine.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 67 on October 9th, 1604.
