William The 4. was born on June 24th, 1532.  William The 4.'s father was Landgrave Philip The 1. of House Hesse and his mother was Landgravine Christine of House Wettin. He had three brothers and a sister, named Louis The 4., Philip The 2., George The 1. and Christine.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 60 on August 25th, 1592.
