Horace (Stanley) Stanley Groves

Horace, known as Stanley, was born in June 1894 in Kensington, Middlesex, England.¹ Stanley's father was Henry William Groves and his mother was Deborah (Ellen) Easter. His paternal grandparents were William Henry Groves and Faithfull Caroline Croucher; his maternal grandparents were William Samuel Easter and Deborah Susannah. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Reginald, Stanley, Gladys, Trilby and Ellen. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died due to a medical problem, diptheria, at the age of 3 in February 1898.
