Richard was born about 1682 in Margate, Kent, England and his christening took place on May 21st, 1682 in St. John the Baptist, Margate, Kent, England.  Richard's father was Richard Castle and his mother was Ann.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Castle and Elizabeth Tomling. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, Elizabeth, Sarah, Marie and Ann.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died in 1682 in Margate, Kent, England.  The funeral took place on July 30th, 1682 in St. John the Baptist, Margate, Kent, England.
