Mary Alice WHITTLE

Mary was born about October 1874 in Wolsingham, Co Durham.¹ Mary's father was Joseph Whittle and her mother was Nancy THOMASON. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Whittle and Mary (Whittle); her maternal grandparents were JONATHAN THOMASON and MARY HIGSON. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Henry, Ellen and Amelia. She was the fifth oldest of the six known children.
