Joseph WHITTLE

Joseph was born about 1887 in Cornsay, Co. Durham.¹ Joseph's father was John WHITTLE and his mother was Mary Ann Walker. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Whittle and Nancy THOMASON; his maternal grandparents were Ralph Walker and Jane Moses. He had a brother and three sisters, named Ralph, Elizabeth, Amelia and Nancy. He was the third oldest of the five known children.
