George was born about 1839 in Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire and his baptism took place on May 12th, 1839 in Bolton Le Moors, Lancashire.1   George's father was James Hart and his mother was Mary.  He had a brother and a sister, named Abraham and Fanny.  He was the youngest of the three known children.
