Fanny was born about 1833 in Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire and her baptism took place on January 29th, 1832 in St Peters, Bolton le Moors.1 2  Fanny's father was James Hart and her mother was Mary.  She had two brothers named Abraham and George.  She was the oldest of the three known children.
