Henry was born in 1830.  Henry's father was Samuel Draper and his mother was Maria Asher.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Draper and Elizabeth Sainsbury.  He was the youngest of nine children.  He had four brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, James, Samuel, Thomas, Mary, Maria, Elizabeth and Susanna.
