Josefa was born on May 22nd, 1864 in El Palau d'Anglesola (Pla d'Urgell). Lleida. Catalunya. and her baptism took place on May 22nd, 1864 at El Palau d'Anglesola (Pla d'Urgell). Lleida. Catalunya. Església de Sant Joan Baptista conducted by Dean Francisco Solà.  Her godfathers were Ramon Miró, tiet and her godmothers were Raimunda Tarragó, àvia materna.  Josefa's father was Jaume Miró Granell and her mother was Raimunda Tribó Tarragó.  Her paternal grandparents were Josep Miró Yyyy and Maria Granell Yyyy; her maternal grandparents were Josep A. Tribó Camí and Raimunda Tarragó Borràs. She had two brothers and a sister, named Josep, Ramon and Josefa.  She was the oldest of the four children.
