Samuel was born on August 25th, 1756 in Richland Township, Bucks county, Pennsylvania, USA.1   Samuel's father was Samuel Shaw Sr. and his mother was Mary Nixon (Shaw).  His paternal grandparents were Abraham Shaw and Deborah ? (Shaw); his maternal grandparents were William Nixon and Mary Pettit (Nixon). He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Joseph, William, Moses, Hannah and Mary.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven known children.  He died at the age of 61 on October 1st, 1817 in Mount Pleasant, Jefferson, Ohio, USA.1

Samuel and Susanna were married in a religious & civil ceremony on November 25th, 1779 in Richland Township, Bucks county, Pennsylvania, USA.1   The family line is yet to be completed.
