Willie's father was Jonathan Cable Dumbauld and his mother was Elizabeth Dull (Dumbauld). His maternal grandparents were George Dull and Christina Younkin (Dull). He had six brothers and six sisters, named George, Frederick, Daniel, Richard, Beecher, Peter, Susanna, Sally, Christine, Mary, Louisa and Savannah. He died at the age of 4 on March 1st, 1857. He was buried at the Younkin Cemetery, Delilah Younkin farm, Markleton - Paddytown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.
