Mariano's father is Mariano García (Magro) and his mother is Consuelo Oliva.  His paternal grandparents were Hilario García (Redondo) and Fuencisla Magro.  He is the third of five children.  He has a brother and three sisters, named Ignacio, Carmen, Yolanda and Fuencisla.
