Amparo was born on 14-Feb-1964.  Amparo's father was Cirilo García (Alvaro) and her mother is Carmen Cob (Aparicio).  Her paternal grandparents were Cirilo García (Carrascal) and Amparo Álvaro (García); her maternal grandparents were  Felix Cob (Nuñez) and  Pilar Nicasia Aparicio (Aguado).  She is the fifth of eight children.  She has four brothers and three sisters, named Manuel Jesús, Pedro María, Melquisedec, José Ignacio, Patricia Carmen, Azucena and Inmaculada.

José Hilario and Amparo were married in a civil court on 7-Nov-1987.  They have two daughters named Irene and Elena.
