John was born in 1850 in Halse, Somerset, England.1   John's father is Samuel Cattle and his mother was Hannah Cattle.  His paternal grandparents are Thomas Cattle and Martha Cattle; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Rossiter Loller and Martha Loller. He had two brothers named Thomas and James.  He died at the age of 21 on December 2nd, 1871 in West Buckland, Somerset,  England.
