Jeremias was born on January 21st, 1822 in Feuchtwangen, Germany.  Jeremias' father was Nathan Meyer Holzinger and his mother was Perl Guggenheimer.  His paternal grandparents were Meyer Abraham Holzinger and Anna.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Jacob Hirsch, Abraham, Samuel, Klara, Hannah, Babette and Adelheid.  He was the sixth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 82 on October 21st, 1904 in Fuerth, Germany.
