Henry was born on September 14th, 1822.  Henry's father was Horace Webster and his mother was Anna McDougall.  His paternal grandparents were Israel Webster and Mary Carpenter; his maternal grandparents were Alexander McDougall and Anna Hyatt. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Fanklin, Horace, William, Horatio, Charles, Clarrisa, Sally, Elvira and Miriam.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.
