Maximilian Elector of Cologne's father was Francis I King of Spain and his mother was Maria Theresa Queen of Spain.  His maternal grandparents were Charles VI King of Spain and Elizabeth Christina of Brunswick. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph II Emperor, Ferdinand, Emperor Leopold II, Caroline, Amelia and Marie Antoinette of Austria.
