John

John was born in 1583. John's father was Frederick II King of Denmark and Norway and his mother was Sophia Duchess of Mecklenburg-Gustrow. His paternal grandparents were Christen III King of Denmark and Norway and Dorthea of Saxe-Lauenburg-Ratzenburg; his maternal grandparents were Ulric III Duke of Mecklenburg-Gustrow and Isabella. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Christen IV Danish King of Denmark and Norway, Ulric, Isabella, Anna, Augusta and Hedvig. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 19 in 1602.
