Ferdinand's father was Ferdinand III King of Spain and his mother was Mary.  His paternal grandparents were Ferdinand II King of Spain and Maria Anna of Bavaria; his maternal grandparents were Philip III King of Spain and Margaret. He had a brother and a sister, named Leopold I King of Spain and Maria Anna.  He died in 1654.
