Anna's father was Maximilan II King of Spain and her mother was Maria.  Her paternal grandparents were Ferdinand I Emperor of Spain and Anna of Bohemia and Hungary; her maternal grandparents were Charles I King of Spain (Emperor Charles V) and Isabella of Portugal. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Rudolf II King of Spain, Matthias King of Spain, Elizabeth of Hapsburg and Albert (Cardinal).
