Charles IX King of Sweden was born in 1550.  Charles IX King of Sweden's father was Gustalf I (Gustav Eriksson "Gustav Vasa") King and Regent of Sweden and his mother was Margareta Leijonhufvud. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John III King of Sweden, Magnus Duke of Ostergotland, Katarina, Cecilia, Anna Maria, Sofia and Elisabeth.  He was the youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Eric XIV King of Sweden.  He died at the age of 61 in 1611.
