Beatriz's father was Alfonso XIII King of Spain and her mother was Victoria Eugenia of Battenburg.  Her paternal grandparents were Alfonso XII King of Spain and Maria Cristina of Austria. She had three brothers and a sister, named Alfonso, Juan Count of Barcelona, Jamie Duke of Segovia and Maria Cristina.
