Augustous Duke of Sussex's father was King George III of England and Hanover and his mother was Charlotte Sophia of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.  His paternal grandparents were Frederick Prince of Wales and Augusta of Saxo-Gotha. He had six brothers and a sister, named Adolphous Duke of Cambridge, King William IV of England and Hanover, Edward Duke of Kent, King George IV of England and Hanover, Frederick Duke of York, Ernest Augustus King of Hanover and Duke of Cumberland and Charlotte.  He died in 1843.
