Anne's father was King George II of England and Hanover and her mother was Caroline of Brandenburg-Ansbach.  Her paternal grandparents were King George I of England and Hanover and Sophia Dorothea of Brunswick-Luneberg. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Frederick Prince of Wales, William Duke of Cumberland, Louisa Princess of Great Britian and Mary.
