Francoise was born in 1722.  Francoise's father was Jacques Pierre Leger and her mother was Anne Amirault (Dite Tourangeau.  Her paternal grandfather was Jacques (Dit La Rosette) Leger and her paternal grandmother is Anne (Marie) Madeleine Trahan; her maternal grandparents were Francois  Amirault (Dit Tourangeau) and Marie Pitre. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named Joseph (Dit Fluzan), Armand, Francois, Simon, Jean Baptiste, Jacques, Paul, Pierre (Dit Pierrot), Olivier, Elizabeth , Marie, Anne and Marie.
