Israel was born on March 9th, 1631.  Israel's father was Edward Jackson and his mother was Frances Taft (Jackson).  His paternal grandparents were Christopher Jackson and Susan Johnson (Jackson); his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Taft and Margaret Milner (Taft). He had five brothers and six sisters, named Margaret, Caleb, Joseph, Jonathan, Sebas, Sara, Hannah, Rebecca, Frances, Elizabeth and Ruth.  Israel and Sara were twins.  He died at the age of 17 on October 5th, 1648.
