Andrew was born on December 1st, 1901 in Craig, Holt County, Missouri.  Andrew's father was Jacob Melton "Corn" VanVickle and his mother was Caroline Randall.  His paternal grandparents were William VanVickle and Nancy L Pyle; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Randall and Susan Patton. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named William, Lee, Lavinia, Sarah, Ida, Nancy , Lydia, Etta and Virginia.  He was the youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 10 on January 11th, 1912 in Craig, Holt County, Missouri.
